The Large Base Plate is exactly what the name suggests—a seriously big base plate designed specifically for HAPP hoists. Each kit includes two base plates.

If you’re concerned about whether your concrete slab can adequately support a hoist, this accessory could be the solution. Measuring an impressive 800mm x 800mm x 16mm, each plate increases the hoist’s footprint by almost four times. As a result, the load spreads across a much larger area, helping to reduce stress on the concrete.

B1E Large Base Plate Kit

The B1E Large Base Plate Kit is designed for HAPP hoist installations where the concrete slab is thinner than recommended. It suits both new installations and upgrades to existing HAPP hoists. Sold in a set of 2.

Each plate measures 800mm x 800mm x 16mm thick and anchors to the floor using six dyna-bolts. The hoist then bolts directly to the plate using high-strength M18 x 2.5 Grade 8.8 bolts.

Floor Plate Hoists:

Floor plate models require minor modifications to account for the extra 16mm height. Most users fit a matching padding plate, which HAPP stocks (PP01), although you can fabricate your own if preferred.

Floor plate users will need to make minor modifications to floor plates to clear the big base plate and move the mount tabs up 16 mm to allow for the thickness of the big base plate. This is typically achieved by purchasing a padding plate, which is checker-plate that is folded to match the floor plate angle  and is powder coated to match the floor plate. This plate raises height of 16mm. You can make up your own padding plate if you prefer, or we stock them also.

Important:

  • Not compatible with non-HAPP hoists
  • Does not remove the need to correctly balance vehicles
  • The two inner holes are manufacturing holes only and are not used after installation
  • A simple, heavy-duty solution when concrete thickness is less than ideal.
